THE OBJECTIVES OF THE CONFERENCE:
- Dimitrie Cantemir and G.W Leibniz’s roles in defining the spiritual, socio-cultural, political and diplomatic profiles of the Romanian and German people respectively, as well as of their importance in the European culture;
- revaluating Cantemir and Leibniz’s contributions to the modern European culture;
- over-viewing Dimitrie Cantemir’s relationship with the cultural personalities in his time;
- stressing Dimitrie Cantemir and Constantin Brancoveanu’s approach of the Romanian modern epoch;
- defining the present European geopolitical and cultural identity as a time perspective in Dimitrie Cantemir’s work;
- enlarging research fields of Dimitrie Cantemir’s works in terms of academic interdisciplinarity and transdisciplinarity;
- achieving a holistic analysis of the most recent research studies on Dimitrie Cantemir’s life and works.
