THE OBJECTIVES OF THE CONFERENCE:
I. Dimitrie Cantemir’s highlighting
the moral human being and the role of the moral conscience
in history and in the life of the city.
II. Researching Dimitrie Cantemir's
work from a scientific perspective and presenting the
Romanian thinker’s contribution to the understanding
and rationalist explanation, according to the Enlightenment
ideas, of man and universe.
III. lllustration of Dimitrie Cantemir's
work as cultural synthesis between East and West.
IV. Approaching Dimitrie Cantemir as
a Prince fond of his country and nation, the expression
of the consciousness of identity and ethnicity and culture
belongingness.
V. Presentation of Dimitrie Cantemir
as an apologist of Eastern Christianity and promoter
of a Christian pedagogy.
